CCC’s Fellows Course will feature a Hemodynamic day on Tuesday, followed by our longstanding renowned Interventional Cardiology Fellows Course / Board Review on Wednesday. Scholarship recipients must attend both courses. Please view all the information on the two courses below.
Day 1 - Tuesday, June 16th
Hemodynamic Support Fellows Course
Course Overview
The Hemodynamic Support Fellows Course is an immersive, one-day educational program designed to provide in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in managing complex high-risk interventional procedures using mechanical circulatory support (MCS). Led by renowned experts in interventional cardiology and hemodynamics, this program empowers cardiology fellows with the foundational and advanced concepts necessary to confidently care for critically ill patients both in and beyond the cath lab. This course will be held in conjunction with the Complex Coronary Cases on Thursday, June 18, which will feature our cornerstone of 11 exemplary live cases.
Highlights
Expert Lectures on the principles of LV support, mechanical circulatory support (MCS), and vascular access
Hemodynamics Simplified: Understand key principles through a HARVI-based simulation session
Case-Based Learning: Participate in an engaging cine review of fellow-presented Impella cases
Latest Clinical Data & Trials: Gain insights into the evolving landscape of guidelines and future research in MCS
Hands-On Simulation Training: Practical experience with mechanical support devices throughout the day
Target Audience
- Interventional Cardiology Fellows
- General Cardiology Fellows with an interest in advanced hemodynamics and MCS
- Trainees aiming to build confidence in managing high-risk PCI patients
- Future leaders in the care of patients requiring mechanical circulatory support
Case Competition
- Please submit a 10-min case presentation to be considered to present at the course.
- The presentation should be a complex case using Impella and include the patient history, cineangiography videos, your intended plan and then the final result of the case.
All 4 presenters selected will win a new iPad!
