Dr. Raman Sharma is the Assistant Director of Endovascular Intervention Program and Assistant Professor of Medicine, Division of Cardiology at the Mount Sinai Hospital and the Mount Sinai Heart, Zena and Michael A. Wiener Cardiovascular Institute. Dr. Sharma earned his medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he also completed his General Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship in the following years. Dr. Sharma continued his advanced training in Intervention Cardiology, where he served as the Chief Fellow. He finished his training at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai with an additional advanced fellowship in Endovascular Interventions.

Dr. Sharma is both an Interventional and Endovascular Cardiologist with specialized focuses in complex percutaneous coronary interventions and peripheral arterial and venous disease, particularly with aortoiliac, lower extremity, carotid and renal revascularization. He is actively involved in clinical research and has numerous co-authored peer-reviewed manuscripts, abstracts, book chapters, in addition to national and international conference presentations. He is interested in outcomes research, particularly the role of antiplatelet and direct oral anticoagulants in improving outcomes for peripheral artery revascularization.
