After Medical/Doctorate studies at National Capodistrian University of Athens & Medical Officer duty, Hellenic Navy he trained in Medicine at Brown University, and Cardiology&Interventional at Mount Sinai. Among the founding physicians of Cardiovascular Research Foundation NYC, he led the founding of Interventional Fellowship Programs at Lenox Hill & Columbia University Medical Center.

He was Trustee of ACC and Program Chair of ACCi2 Summit, founder of ACC Interventional Council/Section & Cardiology Chair at Onassis Heart Center. He is Fellow of AHA and ESC and Adjunct Professor of Medicine/Cardiology at the Universities of Vienna and Athens.

He is elected Master of ACC, Master Interventionalist SCAI, ACC Distinguished Fellow 2019 & Distinguished Teacher 2017, and in numerous Top/Super Doctors & WHOisWHO listings as well as Councils and Committees of ACC, AHA and SCAI.
